A little bit about me, in my own words...
I've been passionate about real estate since I was a kid. I remember playing endless games of Monopoly with my parents and loving the thrill of buying properties and then "building" houses and hotels! At that early age, I also discovered the thrill of the deal - making trades and negotiating with other players (like taking advantage of my brother Stan by trading him a few cheaper properties for Boardwalk!) Now that I think about it, I guess I owe it all to Monopoly!
My parents came to the U.S. from the former Soviet Union when I was three years old. My dad craved freedom and a better life for himself and his family. From our arrival in L.A., my parents started saving money and in only several short years, purchased their first home. A few years later when it was time to move up into a larger home, I vividly remember meeting with our real estate agent and spending all week looking forward to going to open houses on Sundays to find our new home!
And yet, I didn't come straight into a career in real estate. Like many kids, I wanted to be a professional athlete! I played football at The University of Arizona and quickly realized that the NFL was not in my future. And so, I did the next best thing and went to law school and received a JD/MBA from Pepperdine University. From there, I worked as a real estate attorney for three years. While that was a great experience, quite frankly it just wasn't exciting enough for me (and I had to be in an office way too much!).
As an attorney, while negotiating contracts for some of the firm's clients to purchase homes, I realized that I had a true passion for residential real estate and got my real estate broker's license. As they say, "the rest is history!"
From there, I co-founded my own brokerage with my wife, Elena. Several years later, we merged our company into Keller Williams Beverly Hills and TBG Homes Worldwide was born. With my amazing team, we have now expanded into several offices to cover the greater Southern California area (and are expanding more!).
During my time at Keller Williams, I have also discovered my passion for coaching and training real estate agents on sales skills, negotiation strategies and other topics. I truly enjoy watching people grow and succeed at a high level! I also love speaking on entrepreneurship and productivity, which led me to becoming one of only a handful of Certified The ONE Thing Trainers in the world, which is a national bestselling book by Keller Williams founder Gary Keller. I now host several full day workshops annually that help people achieve extraordinary results in all 7 key areas of their life!
When I'm not hosting Real Estate Zone Radio or doing all of the other fun stuff I wrote about here, you can find me spending time with my wife and three kids, snowboarding or playing golf!
